MEM has on several occasions hosted the United Nations Correspondents Association Annual Ball at the UN Headquarters in New York. This important annual event, created for the purpose of presenting the Citizen of the World Award, is attended by many international celebrities including among others Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Hans Blix and Kofi Anan.
PRIVATE CLUBS
MEM has set up and managed restaurants and private members’ clubs, including The Irish Club in London’s Belgravia and the Crusader Yacht Club sponsored by British Airways and Graham Walker to entertain guests and sponsors of the America’s Cup Yacht Race. The guest list included HRH Princess Anne, Sir Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Phil Collins and Ian Botham.
CATERING
MEM began its life catering for the private dining rooms of many prestigious city firms.
This was followed by running the kitchen of the unique London speakeasy, Pasture. This famous nightclub’s clientele included rockers such as David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and members of Deep Purple.
After establishing a stellar reputation in the UK, MEM took to the seas of the Caribbean, Pacific and Mediterranean serving delicious meals to the likes of Baron Edmund Rothschild and Simon Le Bon.
These overseas experiences enabled MEM to gather valuable culinary information and sample many of the wonderful and varied cuisines of the world, thereby bringing these delicious tastes to the menus of the events we cater.
MUSIC
MEM has been closely involved for many years as Event Consultant with 'Father of Rock’ Isaac Tigrett, founder and creator of The Hard Rock Café and House of Blues.
MEM was involved in the management of The Blue Note and 606 Jazz Club. Through these contacts, MEM has access to a huge pool of extremely talented and varied musicians who can be called upon to perform at your event.
